Shopping

The merchant tradition on which Ennis built its success can be seen today in the wooden facades of the brightly-lit Ennis stores which offer a wide variety of goods to the discerning shopper.

Boutique Capital of Ireland, Ennis town has long been renowned as a centre of excellence for retail. For several years Ennis has won awards for being a clean and pleasant town in which to shop and wander, winning not only the Tidy Town Awards for several years, but also regularly achieving Gold Medal status in the Tidiest Large Urban Centre awards.

The town of Ennis offers a unique shopping experience with small independent boutiques along its narrow, winding streets. There is also a weekly open-air market which adds to its charm and it is proud of its reputation as one of Ireland Tidiest Towns.
